On July 14 an online conference between OSU and Anhui University took place. The event became part of the international project “Machine Learning Based Patterns and Mechanisms of Data Protection in VANETs” sponsored by the Russian Fundamental Researches Fund of State Natural Science Fund.
Irina Bolodurina, the project’s leader and Chief of OSU Applied Mathematics Department, Aleksandr Shukhman, Chief of OSU Geometry and Computer Sciences Department, Yurii Ushakov, Chief of Information Technology Sector of OSU Information Technologies Center, Denis Parfenov, Chief of Distance Education Software and Hardware Support Sector and Leonid Legashev, Chief of Distance Education Technologies Maintenance from OSU Teaching Methodology Administration represented our university.
Professor Jie Cui, the project’s co-leader and Jingyu Wen, a postgraduate student participated in the conference from Anhui University.
“It was a welcoming webinar. We introduced our team and our previous projects and got acquainted with our Chinese colleagues. While arranging this web-conference we had to face some technical challenges as we had to connect with another country, but in all other aspects the online-meeting was efficient and successful. I would like to note how open and active our Chinese colleagues were and how they strive to cooperate” — said Irina Bolodurina.
During the webinar participants discussed current scientific objectives in machine learning based data protection in vehicular ad hoc networks, technical issues of network simulation and further processing, and perspectives to publish research findings in specialized scientific journals.
