On the 4th of February public lectures were conducted for citizens and city’s guests in OSU.
These lectures are arranged for the 4th time. In this year they have told about IoT (Internet of things), harmony’s validation by means of algebra, standards’ knowing, world of probiotics, “right” sausage and geography.
A schoolgirl has chosen a lecture of Department’s Head for Computer Safety and Mathematical Support in Informational Systems Irina Vlatskaya “IoT: who is the regulator?” because she is going to connect her life with informatics and information security. This lecture turned out to be the most popular among citizens.
Many listeners have chosen the lecture “Synthesis of additional cultures or harmony’s validation by means of algebra”. Elena Lutsai, Head of Department for Science, Universities’ Activity Coordination of Education Ministry in Orenburg region, was an audience member of the lecture that was given by Mikhail Kucherenko, Professor of Department for Radio Physics and Electronics. Elena Dmitriyevna also has visited this event last year. This time she has chosen field of study in which she is less competent: she wants to expand the knowledge horizons.
Aleksandr Dudnikov, a zootechnician by education and an engineer of automobile crane, preferred to visit the lecture named “Standards’ knowing — protection against sellers’ tricks and dangerous goods” (lecturer — Andrey Vorobyov, Head of Department for Metrology, Standardization and Certification).
There were exhibits in the form of sausage and hams on the rooms’ table where Mikhail Romanko, Senior Lecturer of Department for Biotechnology of Foodstuffs from Animals and Aquaculture, has given his lecture.
In lecture halls the silence was absolute; the audience was going to get to the bottom of every word. Listeners were leaving the lecture halls in a good mood. A housewife Lyudmila has told that her aim by visiting the lecture “Probiotics: great opportunities of micro world” was to get to know about probiotics’ use and antibiotics’ help by cold. After the lecture of Aleksey Sizentsov, Associate Professor of Department for Biochemistry and Microbiology, she has understood that her personal question is a problem of the whole mankind.
The lecture “Geography: in search of dream space” by Aleksey Lyubichankovskiy, Associate Professor of Department for Geography and Regional Studies, was the longest one. The presented by lecturer kaleidoscope of theories and teachings has touched the feelings of every audience member. The listeners did not let him go for a long time asking all sorts of questions.
