The creative teams of OSU Student’s Center — "Russia" took winning places in International assembly on choreographic art of TEVY Dance Grand Prix took place in Orenburg on the 6th–9th of November.
Real dance battle was organized between dancers from Spain, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia. The participants completed selection in own country or region before getting on the competition.
About 1 000 dancers showed their skills in nominations: pop, children, classical, folk, folk-styled dance and others.
The folk theatre of dance "Inie" and team of pop dance "Zhemchuzhinka" presented Orenburg State University.
The performance of "Inie" and "Quartet" gained sympathy of jury and took the first place in "Open Class" nomination; moreover dancers won a special prize for the best choreographic work. The children from "Zhemchuzhinka" team represented "Dancing Doll" act for the audience and took the second place in "Pop Dance" nomination. The performance of the senior team "Stihiya v Duete" was not passed over — they became winners in the same nomination.
— I’m very pleased with performance of my pupils. They showed true professionalism. And even some technical failures with music didn’t ruin the performance, — art director of pop dance’s folk team "Zhemchuzhinka" of OSU Student’s center "Russia" Olga Morozova noted.
The owner of Grand Prix, who won the main prize — five thousand dollars was defined on super final on the 9th of November. Jury considered "Otboy" performance as the best one of pop ballet "Eksiton" from Ulyanovsk.
