The road operation, traffic, management and more other issues were discussed in Orenburg State University. On Octoberš9, the University organized scientific-practical conference "Design and Management of Automobile Roads: Reforming of curriculum in Russian Federation. Development and Implementation of Master’s Programs in Russia."
The conference is the final stage of "Tempus" project, implemented by OSU Transport Faculty since November 2011. In the framework of the project partner universities develop and implement a joint master curriculum, which meets the high international standards.
The conference was attended by representatives of Orenburg city administration, Orenburg Region’ Traffic Police, scientists from Naples, Athens, Stockholm, Moscow, Omsk and Barnaul, students and teachers of OSU Architecture and Construction Faculty, Transport Faculty. The event was opened by Sergey Letutaš— OSU Vice-rector for scientific work. Alfonso Montella, professor of Naples University FedericošII, reported about Tempus project "HDMCuRF" and its results. He noted that the main project goalš— was development of new Master curriculum with contribution of European universities experience and its introduction in Russian universities. The new curriculum consists on issues of design, road maintenance, traffic management, road safety. As a result this new program designed for 2šyears of education meets all modern requirements. The graduates are not just technical workers, but managers of entire project, able to plan the process from the beginning to the end. The master's program has already been tested in three Russian universities, trained thirty students. Concluding his speech the guest from Italy presented the European Diploma Supplement to nine OSU graduates of the new "Technology transport processes" Master program.
Larisa Petrova, Doctor of technical sciences, professor from Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University reported about implementation of the project in Moscow University. The curriculum gained allows Russian universities train masters on high international level. Larisa evidenced that 100š% of program graduates successfully employed.
There were eight reports at plenary session including Vasileios Psarianosš— professor of National Technical University of Athens, Cristina d'Alessandroš— project manager of "FORMIT" and others.
