The academic year is opened!

The 1^st of September in the Orenburg State University was celebrated by great theatrical performance.

In the stands of the central sports complex “Orenburg” there were students, their parents, teachers and guests. The OSU opened the new fifty-eighth academic year.

Attendees were congratulated with this event by OSU rector Vladimir Kovalevsky, vice governor — deputy prime minister — chief of governor apparatus in Orenburg Region Dmitry Kulagin, deputy head of Orenburg city Andrey Shevchenko, member of Russian Federation State Duma Elena Nikolaeva and other special guests. The creative teams of OSU Student Center — cultural center “Russia” organized unforgettable performance. More than 150 people taken part in grand banner show, about 160 university sportsmen synchronically showed their skills in weightlifting, judo, aerobic, boxing, handball and in other sports.

Dancing groups arranged a big “flashmob” for the stands: students and teachers repeated with pleasure after the dancers simple movements under lively melody. The legendary historical figures: Yaroslav the Wise, Dmitry Donskoy, Minin and Pozharsky, Peter the First also congratulated students and wished them success in the study of sciences. At the end of the celebration there was the parade of faculties. Then the first-year students — gold medalists taken a vow of first-years which was supported by the stands: “We swear! We swear! We swear!”.
