X Russian-Japanese Scientific Conference is finished

Through December 9–11, Hiroshima University hosted the X Russian-Japanese Conference «Chemical Physics of Molecules and Polyfunctional Materials».

This traditional conference is held every two years alternately in Orenburg and Hiroshima. This year because of COVID-19 the conference was held online. It was organized by OSU Faculty of Physics, Hiroshima University Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, and Professor Katsuya Inouye. This year the international conference invited young researchers from the Hiroshima University Symposium for Young Scientists «Bio Nano Info Chemistry» (NABIC). Thus students from two universities got the chance to present their findings.

The speakers presented slide-show reports on physical chemistry of natural materials, nanoplasmonics, photodynamic therapy, spin-dependent processes in physics and biology. Every demonstration was followed by the discussion in English.

The conference became a part of the OSU traditional festival «Days of Japan in Orenburg» and contributed to the further development of cultural, humanitarian and research cooperation between OSU and Japanese universities.
