Gifts from Ehime prefecture

On the eve of the XVII Festival «Days of Japan in Orenburg» OSU Japanese Information Center got colorful gifts from Ehime: traditional souvenirs, origami paper, napkins with the Ehime symbol — the dog in the shape of a Mikan (orange), sets for calligraphy, brushes, ink, suzuri-bako (ink pot), rice paper and many others.

Through the year the library of OSU Japanese Information Center is growing with books by Japanese authors from the Japanese Foundation. Earlier, this summer Yuri Dvoryanchikov, an expert in Japanese history and culture donated his collection of books to OSU. Recently, the Embassy of Japan presented the university with the latest copies of «Japan. Styles and lives» magazine.

Souvenirs and magazines will be presented at the opening ceremony of the XVII Festival «Days of Japan in Orenburg» scheduled to start on December 7 at 11:00 in «OSU Boiling Point» at the OSU library.
