Gabil Mamedov is the International Boxing Tournament’s medalist

OSU graduate student won a silver medal at the International Boxing Tournament in Croatia.

The competition took place in Zagreb on October 8–10. Gabil Mamedov (coach Dmitry Skopintsev), an Orenburg boxer, a student of the Olympic Reserve School # 3 named after G.I. Vasiliev, was a member of the Russian national team.

According to the press service of the Orenburg region government, the athlete had two fights in the weight category up to 63 kilograms. In the first fight he won a victory over Hologram, a boxer from France. In the final, Gabil lost on points (1–2) to Yaroslav Khartsiz from Ukrainian and became the silver medalist of the competition,
