Maria Kameneva won three gold medals at the Russian Cup

Maria Kameneva, an athlete from OSU, represented Orenburg region at the final of the Russian Cup. The student took three gold medals, showing the best time in several disciplines at once.

The Russian Cup brought together athletes from all over the country. Qualifying competitions were held on March 11–13 in Penza, Novosibirsk and Obninsk. Out of thousands of contenders only 700 athletes reached the final. Among them is OSU student Maria Kameneva. The final itself was held on October 2–4. The long break between the qualifying round and the final was scheduled by the organizers due to the pandemic.

At the final, the athlete showed a brilliant performance in several disciplines at once: swimming the 100-meter backstroke and freestyle. The athlete also won gold, covering a distance of 200 meters in a minute and 58.34 seconds.
