OSU International Summer School has finished its classes

On September 11, the V OSU International Online Summer School has finished its classes. Young students and educators from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China and Japan received new knowledge and vivid impressions.
The closing ceremony of the Summer School started with the “Festival of cultures” — students from every participating university presented their home country. Students from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan accompanied their interesting stories with the demonstration of their counties’ riches — high mountains, yurts, delicious Eastern food, and modern cities. Students from Japan talked on the peculiarities of Japanese cuisine and compared it with Russian. The team from China introduced the audience to their hometown of Guangzhou: its economic status, its geographical location and most striking sights.
On the previous days, the students attended online lectures about Russian culture, Russian law and Physical sciences. The school offered several workshops. The one on sewing Russian folk dolls generated the deepest interest. Abbos Juraev from Tashkent Transport University and Masaru Hiroishi from Hiroshima University mastered their skills at home and then sent photos of their works.
At the end of the ceremony Svetlana Pankova, Prorector for Economics and Strategic Development presented 31 certificates to all students who completed their studies at the School.
Five years in a run the Summer School unites all its participants. This year is no exception. The School graduates initiated to cement their friendship on the telegram channel, and creating a group chat “Orenburg Camp 2020”. Participants of the Summer School confessed that if not for the pandemic, they would have definitely visited OSU and Orenburg.
