Building № 8 is renovated to become home for OSU Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering

On September 3, campus building № 8, also known in Orenburg as The Center for Further Education “Progress”, was put into operation after the capital repair.
Now students of one of the oldest OSU faculties — Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering will have their classes in it.
“OSU commemorates its 65th anniversary this year. It's an important day for our students, employees, and the whole region” — said Denis Pasler, Governor of the Orenburg region at the opening ceremony.
He also noted that any improvement of facilities and premises was always a joyous occasion. Denis Pasler thanked the university’s administration and praised the looking of the repaired building. The Governor hoped the comfortable building to help students study better and become highly-demanded specialists in power companies.
“The Orenburg region has ab esteemated power engineering traditions, our specialists are famous all over the country” — mentioned Denis Pasler when addressing to the students. “I'm sure you will become the best in the industry!” — he added.
OSU rector Zhanna Ermakova thanked the government, the Ministry of Education of Orenburg region, and strategic partners of the university for the suport in improving the campus of the largest regional educational institution. She congratulated everybody with the Day of Knowledge and wished students successful studies.
Deputy Director-General of PAO “MRSK Volgi” and branch manager of “Orenburgenergo” Viktor Kazhaev, OSU rector Zhanna Ermakova, and OSU student Andrei Loskutov have cut the red ribbon.
