OSU employee has won the biggest grant of Russian Forum “Territory of Ideas”

Maria Brusilova, a member of OSU Social and Educational Office has won a grant support in the amount of 1 million 250 thousand rubles. Her project is a historical sport festival “Students Sport Team of 75^th Victory Anniversary (SST-75)”. It is starting in autumn.

Maria Brusilova has won the biggest and the only grant for the Orenburg region. Maria's project is focused on involving students in doing sports and physical activities and learning history of the Great Patriotic War through combination of sport competitions and intellectual contests on the Great Patriotic War topic.

“This is a new form of event organization. Intellectual part on the Great Patriotic War topic will be included into sport competitions. We want to highlight historic events of the Great Patriotic War, tell about war heroes paying special attention of those who was born in the Orenburg region. The project will include 15 different events like usual sport competitions with intellectual challenges, online contests for athletes and fans. We will also organize an exhibition in the Museum of OSU History to tell about sports development during the Great Patriotic War in. The idea of my project was supported by the Russian Volunteer Centers Association. They gave big points for the idea. It helps me to develop and implement the project” — commented Maria.
