OSU student Anna Dubova wins the regional stage of the International conference

On May 7 Samara State Technical University in partnership with WCO (World Customs Organization), ITMO University (Saint Petersburg) and the International Customs Students Association held the Volga region (qualifying) stage of the VII international Youth i-Customs conference "International business, innovation and customs regulation". The event was organized with Zoom video-conference app.

11 customs students from the leading universities in the Volga Federal District — Lobachevski State University of Nizhny Novgorod-National Research University, Kazan (Volga region) Federal University, Samara State Technical University, Orenburg State University — competed for the right to represent the Volga Federal District at the all-Russian stage.

Anna Dubova, OSU 3-d year student majoring in “Customs” was nominated to participate in the conference with the report “Image formation of the Eurasian Economic union in the Russian Federation: history, problems and prospects”. Valery Popov, Associate Professor of the Department of Customs, was Anna’s scientific supervisor.

As a result, Anna Dubova won the regional stage and got the right to represent the Volga Federal District at the All-Russia stage of the i-Customs conference. It will be hosted on-line by ITMO University (Saint Petersburg) on May 21. The language of the conference will be English and the event will be broadcasted on WCO channels. The best speaker will represent Russia at the Youth Forum during the PICARD World Conference, scheduled to be held in the fall of 2020 in Jamaica.
