World champion swimmer Maria Kameneva is our sports pride!

Maria Kameneva, a student from OSU Faculty of Applied Biotechnology and Engineering, who has achieved striking results in swimming and participates in international competitions as the Orenburg region athlete, became the finalist of the "Woman of Orenburg Region" contest in the nomination “Womanš– sports pride”.
In total, 87 applications were submitted for the contest but only 8šladies won.
Other nominations are "Woman — mother", "Woman — social worker", "Woman and charity", "Business woman", "Womanš— public activist", "Recognition", "Womanš— discovery of the year".
Maria is an international master of sports, 2016 world champion in 4šxš50 meter freestyle mixed relay, a six-time champion in I European games in Baku, and a three-time champion of Russia.
Recently, the athlete successfully competed at the European Short Course Swimming Championships, held in Glasgow (The United Kingdom) on December 4–8. In the individual competition, the record holder won a gold medal in 50šm freestyle, showing the best result in the history of our countryš— 23.55 seconds. Maria has already won 11šgold, 8šsilver and 6šbronze medals.
