OSU students recorded a video in Chinese to support Chinese people in their fight with COVID-19.

In this video message students who study Chinese at OSU and their teacher, Kristina Khaustova, wish their Chinese friends a very speedy recovery:

“China is in the global focus now. The whole world worries about you. We support you and with you health and victory in the struggle with the virus!”

The video was sent to our university partners in China – Anhui University in Hefei and South China Pedagogical University of Guangzhou – to circulate in China.

Dr. Irina Solodilova, Dean of OSUT Faculty of Philology noted that this students’ action was kind and important. “It teaches compassion, which is not so common in our cruel world. Besides, a real time communication in a foreign language is always a great motivation to study. Especially when it is emotionally charged!”
