OSU Engineering Center: beginning-of-life and problem discussion at the forum

On the opening day of the 9^th International forum “Orenburg region — the Heart of Eurasia” at Orenburg State University the Engineering center started its functioning after the installation of the last equipment.

The issues related to such activities were the main focus of the forum’s first event — the round-table conference “Consolidation of universities' engineering potential capacity and businesses for solving regional problems”.

The speakers shared their views on how to apply universities’ researches to solving ecological problems like the separation technology as a way to recycle balance ores and man-caused slag heaps. Vitaliy Demidochkin, Director of OSU Engineering center “Complex recycle of slags of non-ferrous metal industry” has briefed the audience on how the center was created, told about the selection and installation of the equipment, and presented plans on collaboration with enterprises.
