Ties with Uzbekistan are strengthening

Elena Taurit, a Senior Lecturer from OSU Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Automobile Roads and Construction Materials Department, gave a course of lectures in Tashkent Institute of Design, Construction and Maintenance of Automobile Roads (TIDCMAR).

Within eleven days Elena has been giving classes for lecturers, graduate students and gifted sophomores who have demonstrated excellent results after the 1^st year of studies at the TIDCMAR Department of Research and Design of Automobile Roads. During her visit Elena had a meeting with Alimzhon Riskulov, TIDCMAR Rector, as well as with Institute's Prorector for Academic Affairs, the Head of International Affairs Department and the Heads of University departments. She also visited some sights of the Republic.

This spring Igor Lyubimov, an Associate Professor of OSU Automobile Transport department, has also visited the Tashkent Institute and taught shipment technology, innovative technologies in shipping operation and traffic management, progressive technologies of transport systems, intelligent transport systems and logistics software. This autumn six TIDCMAR students took part in OSU International Summer School, and the Institute's lecturer Shokhrukh Nasirov has completed an internship at OSU.
