OSU student got the largest grant

OSU student Lubov Dolzhenkova won the contest of youth initiatives at the International Youth Forum “Eurasia Global” and received the largest grant to implement her project.

During six days of the forum its participants attended more than a hundred workshops, lectures and trainings. Young people and experts discussed various issues on economics and business in Eurasia, information security, as well as social design, and much more. 150 speakers and guests attended the event. The most memorable was the meeting with Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Director of the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. The discussion was about modern foreign policy of Russia, relations with Ukraine and China. Young people also wanted to learn the secret of Maria Zakharova's successful work.

On the final day of the forum, August 17, the winners of the grant contests were nominated. On the day before they presented their projects. More than 150 young people from all over the world took part in the contest. 70 people from Russia personally presented their projects for the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (”Rosmolodezh”) contest of youth initiatives. As a result, OSU student Lubov Dolzhenkova received 1,200 rubles for the project “Intellectual Cafe for Students/ICS”. She became the only grant winner in the Orenburg region and she got the biggest grant in the forum.

5 OSU students got the chance to present their projects personally. Bogdan Kalganov designed a landscape project for one of the Orenburg region’s villages. He suggested making a park transforming an uncultivated area into a popular recreation place for villagers. Anna Skovikova plans to make a full-length documentary film about the activities of volunteers of “silver” age, which will tell people of retirement age about the possibilities of self-development and communication with young people. The main character of the film will be a “silver” volunteer from Orenburg Lyudmila Gah. One more OSU student Ekaterina Kilyazova presented the project “Smart physical culture 2.0”. As the author comments it is the continuation of the project “Smart physical culture for students with physical limits”. In the grant contest for international students, organized by the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund, OSU foreign students also personally presented their projects to the expert committee.
