Visitors from Japan: present from Botchan theatre and Delta Electronics

Delegates from Japan who came to Orenburg to participate in the XI International Theatre Festival “Gostinniy Dvor” paid a visit to OSU.

The guests had a welcoming meeting with Janna Ermakova, OSU rector. She noted that the visit was one of the events in Orenburg — Ehima cooperation. This is a great merit of the Orenburg region government and the government of the Ehime Prefecture who do a lot to develop contacts further not only in the field of culture and sports, but also in the economy. Masami Shinigi, Head of the Department of Culture in the government of the Ehime Prefecture reminded that the relations between the Prefecture and the region went back to 2012 when the Botchan Theatre gave performances on the stage of the Orenburg Regional Drama Theater, and the tour was organized on the initiative of Lyudmila Dokashenko, Director of the OSU Japan Information Center. Yoichi Ochi, Director of the Botchan Theatre remembered a cordial welcome of the audience 7 years ago. He confessed that a life performance was widely expensive. That is why they brought a video recording of the play “Vow on the coin”. Yoichi Ochi told that 4 years ago they had started cooperation with “Delta electronics”. Its equipment and technologies make it possible to record the action on the stage from one camera point but creating a multi-D image. Moreover, the technology creates such a high quality image that none of the theatre-goes has seen before.
