Athletes from Japan visited OSU

Delegates from Ehime Prefecture (Japan) visited Orenburg State University: Mokato Onishi, Vice-President of Ehime Prefecture Judo Federation, Naoki Saito, Director of Sports and Culture Department, Ken Hagiwara, Director of Sport Promotion in Regions, coaches and judo athletes.

At the meeting with the guests Svetlana Pankova, OSU Vice-rector, reminded the history of OSU — Ehime contacts. They began with the performance of the Bottyan Theater in Orenburg in 2012 and continued with the cooperation between OSU and Ehime University in the fields of science, education and culture and finally in sports. Naoki Saito greeted the audience in Russian. He told that the main purpose of their trip was to participate in the Judo European Cup which would take place in Orenburg.

The guests made a tour around the OSU scientific library with the observation deck on its top and the Museum of the OSU history. Then the guests went to the Student center “Russia” where the artists from the dancing group “Zhemchuzhinka” taught them folk dances.
