“Engineers of the Future — 2019”. OSU is getting ready for the engineering forum of Russia

Orenburg State University became a co-partner to the Russian Engineering Union (REU) and will organize and host the VIII International Youth Engineering Forum “Engineers of the Future — 2019”. It will be held in July in Orenburg.

The committee on Youth Policy of the Russian Engineering Union arrived at this decision on March 4 in Moscow. One of the Forum’s goals is to introduce its participants to the regions of Russia. That is why the event changes its location every year.

On March 5 Zhanna Ermakova, OSU rector, met with Artem Azhgirevich, REU Senior Deputy of Executive Director. He informed that traditionally the organizing committee cooperates with the university that trains engineers for a region. OSU as a multidisciplinary university has a number of good engineering faculties and institutes. After a detailed discussion of the event the parties agreed that OSU educators would act as speakers in the training events of the Forum and share the best practices that shape the development of the industry and take a look into the future.

A few tens of OSU students will become the Forum’s delegates after going through a demanding selection. About 100 students will serve as volunteers. Speaking on the Forum’s history, Artem Azhgirevich noted that it would be a unique chance to meet engineers from all the regions of our country and get prospects for future employment after graduation.
