Quantum Lab — OSU — digital economy

Zhanna Ermakova, OSU rector, had a meeting with Boris Belyaev, Major of Kumertau. They discussed the training perspectives for staffing the city with specialist in digital economy.

The government of Kumertau and Orenburg State University are old partners. Since the foundation of OSU branch in Kumertau 15 years ago, the city government promoted its development. Boris Belyaev informed that the city faced the need in specialists in digital economy. One of the ways to meet this demand is to introduce new training programms in OSU Kumertau branch as a long-run prospect. Another field of cooperation might be “Quantum Lab” — a project for high school students. It was launched on December 1, 2018 after the meeting of Boris Belyaev with Marina Rakova, General Director of Russian Foundation for Educational Development. The only in Russia Quantum Lab is to become an engineering training center for high school students with team and project work under the supervision of competent specialists. Located in the premises of the Center for Youth Creativity, it hosts up to 120 kids every day. The building with 7 150 m² houses a Technopark for kids and 8 high tech laboratories: IT, robot, VR/AR, aero, geo, industrial design, etc.
