The Day of Russian Students: starting to celebrate

January 25 is the holiday for all Russian students. It is a big time for Orenburg State University. This year it had an unusual start — best students’ self-governing practices were demonstrated.

Zhanna Ermakova, OSU rector, presented the most active students with letters of gratitude and gingerbreads with the image of the OSU scientific library.

On the same day at 11:00 a special service took place in the St. Tatyana’s Chapel on main OSU campus

Zhanna Ermakova made a report “Development strategy of a multidisciplinary university: achievements and perspectives” at the meeting of the OSU Academic Council. She noted that any holiday would be even more solemn when having visitors. After congratulating the audience she introduced the guests from other Russian cities and countries.

Then the victory ceremony started for the best OSU staff members and students. The grand concert followed the meeting.
