New goals for university community

Zhanna Ermakova, OSU rector participated in the meeting led by Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia. It was held in Ural Federal University and focused on the national project “Science”. The meeting collected educators and scientists, government and business people.

According to the goals set in the project “Science” Russia is to rank in the Top 5 by 2024 with its researches in priority sciences and technologies. By that time Russia is to open not less than 15 world-class scientific and training centers. All the participants were split into 4 groups. Each group defined optimal mechanisms for the project realization: organization, financing, staffing, and researching. Zhanna Ermakova participated in the one that discussed financial issues: cooperation tools, fundraising, property management, partnership of private and public sector when developing research and social infrastructure.

First findings were formulated during the panel session with Mikhail Kotyukov.
