Russia — China. Academic cooperation

On December 5 Zhanna Ermakova, OSU rector welcomed Wu Yingqin, Chinese Consul General to Kazan and Bian Xiaoqiang, Consul-Attache.

Zhanna Ermakova briefed the guests about the university’s history, its training Bachelor and Master programmes and the opportunities to study extra-programme foreign languages: Japanese, Spanish and Chinese. The rector mentioned that in 2016 the university joined the Association of Volga and Yangtze Universities and described the visits of the university’s members to Anhui University in Hefei and South China Normal University in Guangzhou.

When meeting OSU students Mr. Wu Yingqin invited them to participate in the events arranged by the Chinese Consulate General. As a symbol of friendship the Chinese Consul General presented to the OSU Center for Chinese Language and Culture a notebook and a souvenir with a commemorative inscription.

We are going to have another eventful activities as the Cross Years of Russia and China regional cooperation will continue.
