4 OSU students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies studied in the Autumn School in the University of Ehime (UE).

The idea to invite Russian students to the university in Japan belongs to Takuya Tsuchiya, UE Professor. He got it after attending classes in the OSU Summer School in 2017. The idea was financed by the Ehime Prefecture government and the University of Ehime.

As Irina Bolodurina, head of the OSU Applied Mathematics Department told, on the very first day of studies they were split into 2 groups, each having an assignment. One of them was to design origami.

Classes at school lasted from morning till evening. In time off the group toured the Ehime Prefecture, got a reception with the rector of the University of Ehime, attended the annual Matsuyama Art Festival, the museum and the laboratory of artificial diamonds. Friends from Japan also took them to a night sight-seeing tour when they visited the Matsuyama Castle.

Upon the completing of the study program one of the students got an invitation from Professor Tsuchiya to come for a 1-month study trip to continue the project and to write a scientific paper.
