Week of English language in OSU: dictation, discussions of famous novels, quizzes

On October 26 Orenburg State University welcomed more than 200 students from the Faculty of Philology and Journalism, other OSU faculties and students from Orenburg high schools who took a dictation in English “Spell it correctly!”.

The dictation was the first event in the list of activities planned for the Week of English language. On the same day the guests of the university took a quiz in “Treasure Island” by Robert Louis Stevenson and Chamber of Secrets by Joanne Kathleen Rowling.

University and high school students also discussed some novels, like “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austin and “Oliver Twist” by Charles Dickens.

They also participated in literature, musical and cultural quizzes.
