Maria Kameneva sets records and earns medals

Maria Kameneva, a student from the OSU Faculty of Applied Biotechnology and Engineering, a Master of Sports of Russia, International Class, Meritted Master of Sport of the Russian Federation set a new record in Russia and earned 5 golden and 1 silver medal.

The Russian Swimming Championship wrapped up in Kazan. 849 sportmen from 60 RF subjects participated in the tournament. Maria won the 50 m and 100 m freestyle race. In the latter Maria set a new record in Russia — 58.89 qualifying World Championship. As a member of St. Petersburg team Maria won: 4 х 100 free and relay race. Kameneva took silver in the 50 m backstroke.

For Russian swimmers the Champoinship was to select the best athlets for the coming World Championship.
