OSU is in the list of the best BRICS University Rankings

Orenburg State University, the only one from the region, was featured into a prestigious QuarelliSymonds (QS) BRICS University Rankings.

The Rankings list numbers 400 universities from 5 countries: Russia, Brazil, India, China and the Republic of South Africa.

Orenburg State University joined the forth hundred rank and took the 90^th position in the list of Russian universities.

The BRICS Rankings is compiled using eight different indicators, including the ratio of faculty to students, the proportion of academic staff with a PhD and the institution’s reputation among academics and employers, the number of international students, etc. It demonstrates the progress in education system made by each BRICS member and allows to compare the universities from countries having a similar social and economy dynamics. The QS BRICS calculation methodology differs from the methodology for general rating calculation. The reason arises from specific goals defined by the countries.
