Big Ethnographic Dictation in OSU

On the eve of the National Unity Day, November 2, Orenburg State University hosted the Big Ethnographic Dictation.

Prior to the dictation Zhanna Ermakova, OSU Rector and Vera Bashirova, Vice-Governor and Vice-Chairman of the Orenburg region Government for Internal Affairs, greeted students and citizens of Orenburg.

Natalya Shebarshova, Dean of the OSU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, introduced the audience to the dictation format: it has 30 questions split into 2 parts (federal and regional), eaqual in complexity. Its time limit is 45 minutes and maximum score is 100 grades.

The dictation turned to be the most difficult for Aaron Soehnen, an exchange student from Ludwig-Maximilians-University (Germany). However Aaron gave a strong answer to the question about the Orenburg region symbol — Orenburg shawl.
