Orenburg and Tashkent universities cement partnership

Members of Orenburg State University discussed with their colleagues the humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan. The meeting of the scientific community took place in Tashkent.

The joint scientific conference “Historical and cultural cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan and perspectives for humanitarian cooperation in the modern time” became another evidence of the dynamic cooperation between two co-partner universities — Orenburg State University and Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University. It was a practical implementation of the agreement reached and signed on November 19 during the First Russia-Uzbekistan Educational Forum.

The conference participants accepted that humanitarian collaboration is behind economic cooperation, foreign trade growth and joint invesment projects. To promote humanitarian cooperation the participants explored the ways to scale it up between educational and research institutions of the Orenburg region and Uzbekistan.

The conference was initiated by the OSU Research Institute of History and Ethnography of the Southern Urals with support from Rossotrudnichestvo and the Autonomous Non-profit Organization “Association of Eurasia People”.
