New Specialists for New Economy: outcomes after the visit to Uzbekistan

Zhanna Ermakova, OSU Rector attended the First Russia-Uzbekistan Interregional Cooperation Forum initiated by Vladimir Putin, President of Russia and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan.
The Forum hosted the First Russia-Uzbekistan Educational Forum “New Specialists for New Economy”. It collected more than 200 rectors of universities in Russia and Uzbekistan, Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia and Inomjon Madjidov, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan. The Forum presented the cooperation between the universities of the two countries, defined the goals for further development of the educational systems. More than 130 cooperation agreements in the sphere of education between Russia and Uzbekistan were signed during the Forum.
Orenburg State University has got two new partners: cooperation agreements were signed with Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University and Tashkent Institute of Design, Construction and Maintenance of Automobile Roads. Negotiations were also conducted with Samarkand State University, Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, Fergana State University, Ajiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. The perspectives of joint participation in ERASMUS+ projects and other cooperation possibilites were discussed.
During the Forum Zhanna Ermakova attended the meetings with Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Victor Sadovnichiy, MSU Rector, Roman Strongin, Vice-President of the Council of Rectors of Russia.
