Orenburg Regional Library named after N.K.šKrupskaya to mark Russianš— Japan Bilateral Year has opened an exhibition of Gennady Naidanov, Associate Professor from the OSU Design Deapartment, Honored Cultural Worker of Russia.

The exhibition “A mysterious Japan: culture and art” displays a unique papier-mache album brough by an unknown Orenburger from Russian-Japan 1904 war. Another exhibits are Japan New Year’s post cards, kokeshiš— Japanese dolls from wood for boys and chiyogamiš— Japanese dolls from paper for girls, tiny teacups and a kettle, a dish set from eggshell china.

The best part of the Gennady Naidanov’s collection counts different types of Japan paper and items made of it: dolls, engravings, fans.
