Candle of Memory. 77 years after…We remember!

More than 500 teachers, employees and students from OSU took part in the events dedicated to the Day of Memory and Grief.

On June 21, they joined many thousands of Orenburgers — the participants of "Candle of Memory" action. The townspeople lowered the lighted candles at the Eternal Flame. 77 years later, in the XXI century, Russians recall the tragic date of the beginning of the war.

The following morning, on June 22, Zhanna Ermakova and OSU Prorectors together with the officials of Orenburg and the region laid flowers on the memorial complex "Eternal Flame" at Prospect Pobedy, and students and teachers of the University placed flowers on the Eternal Fire in the memorial complex-museum "Salute, Victory!" as well as to recently erected monument to Hero of Russia Alexander Prokhorenko.
