“Abilimpix OSU” volunteer program: helping to do good deeds

A training program on “Techniques of volunteer work with people with disabilities” was completed at the premises of “OSU Volunteer” Сoordinating Center at OSU.

This program has been implemented by Student Coordinating Center since 2017. The main goal is to train volunteers to assist to the participants of the regional stage of the Professional Excellence National Championship among disabled people “Abilimpix”. Within three days, 68 students from technical colleges and colleges of Orenburg, Orsk, Novotroitsk, and Sharlyk studied peculiarities of volunteer work with people with disabilities, their legal protection, the occupational health and safety rules, and first aid practices. A group of teachers and psychologists from educational institutions of secondary vocational education and correctional boarding schools of the Orenburg region, “silver” volunteers, who are over 35 have also had a training.
