Teacher with a capital «T»: 25 years about values in education

OSU hold the Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation on “Interrelation of axiology and innovation in modern education” devoted to the 25^th anniversary of “Axiology of Education” Scientific School and the 70^th anniversary of its founder Professor Kiriakova.

Aida Kiriakova gave a detailed account of how “Axiology of Education” was created and developed, the theoretical and methodological basis of which is the concept of an individual’s orientation in the world of values.

Professor Kiriakova made a great personal contribution to the training of scientific and pedagogical staff of higher education. Under her supervision 11 doctors and 57 candidate dissertations were defended. To introduce axiological approach in university education, to develop higher school scientific potential and to implement it into varous school models and learning environment in different years grants of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation were allocated. Scientific findings are presented in more than 200 publications, 11 monographs, 9 teaching aids.

Aida Kiriakova took an active part in the development of international cooperation and partnerships with universities from Germany, Japan and other countries of near and far abroad.

The scientific and practical conference was crowned with “Competence-oriented technologies as an axiological resource of the quality of university education” Round Table.
