OSU Engineering Center: fast and accurate analysis

New equipment was purchased and installed in OSU Engineering Center.

At the end of 2016 OSU won a government tender aimed to support the foundation and development of engineering centers at educational institutions of higher education. OSU presented the Strategic Program for the Development of OSU Engineering Center “Complex Processing of Spent Slags of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy” for the period up to 2021.

The first year, the Center purchased new generation instruments from Japan, China and Russia. The most expensive and high-precision analytical device is designed for quantitative detection of ions in solutions with high accuracy. In addition, with the help of this device, it is possible to detect the presence of up to 72 elements in a sample simultaneously. Apart from analytical equipment, they purchased technological equipment for solid waste sample preparation.
