Public lectures at OSU: science for everyone

OSU invited the citizens to public lectures for the fifth time.
This year the citizens were surprised with an exhibition of scientific and technical creativity of OSU students and teachers opened at the OSU Scientific Library foyer.
People of different ages came to the public lectures: adult city dwellers, working in various spheres, pensioners and young peopleš— students and schoolchildren.
Vitaliy Berdinskiy, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the Head of the Department of Biophysics and Condensed Matter Physics gave a lecture on “Interaction of magnetic fields with living organisms”.
Viktoria Bobrova, Doctor of Economics delivered a lecture on the global challenge of modernityš— digitalization, which is inevitably to bring changes to all spheres of life. The youngest lecturerš— Alexey Lubichankovskiy, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor presented a lecture on “Geography and psychology”.
The most popular lecture “Element portrait of the Orenburg regionš— three-in-one” was given by Anatoly Skalny, Director of OSU Institute of Bioelementology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, a world-class scientist, Chairman of the Russian Society of Medical Elementology, a board member of the Federation of European Societies on Trace Elements and Minerals (FESTEM).
