On mathematicians, Summer school and Iyo Manzai dance

The delegation of the Ehime Prefecture government (Shikoku, Japan), the University of Ehime and Botchan Theater representatives met with OSU administration. OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova greeted the representatives of "so distant but close to the university country".

She pointed out that scientific cooperation would be interesting for both partners. Faculties of Physics in both universities have already had cooperation experience. They regularly hold joint scientific conferences alternately in Japan and Russia once every two years.

Liudmila Dokashenko, Head of OSU Department of International Cooperation and Education Development said that in 2018 the traditional Summer School would be held from 9 to 16 September. Young people from the University of Ehime are expected to be even more numerous than last year, thanks to the enthusiastic feedback from their fellow students who had visited Orenburg.

Botchan Theater performers conducted a master class on the traditional prefecture dance of Iyo Manzai (Iyo is a locality name at the center of Ehime, Manzai is a traditional theatrical art) at OSU Students' Cultural Center “Rossiya”. On January 25, they met with the audience who had come to see "The Legend of Princess Tsuru", shown at "Kosmos" Cinema Center.
