Competently on the problems of construction and architecture

OSU hold a reporting meeting of the Volga Region Branch of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences.

Such events are held annually in different Russian cities under the patronage of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences — the country's highest level scientific organization in the field of architecture, urban development and construction sciences. The Academy coordinates and conducts fundamental pilot studies, participates in the development and review of projects and regulatory legal acts in relevant fields. One of the key priority areas is architecture and construction education development.

Zhanna Ermakova, OSU Rector greeted the participants of the meeting. She pointed out that the representative body of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences has been functioning at the premises of the university since 2016. Alexander Polukhin, the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Orenburg Region said that a number of state programs had been successfully implemented in the region in recent years.The City mayor, Yevgeny Arapov, thanked OSU administration for the active participation of Architecture and Construction Department students in the contest for the best project on the Ural River embankment renovation.

Victor Zhadanov, Adviser of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, OSU Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, and Victoria Gurieva, Head of the OSU Construction Technology Departmenthave also delivered scientific reports at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Bobylyov presented the 2017 annual accounts of the Volga Region Branch of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences.

Vladimir Travush, Vice-president of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, Honored Builder of the Russian Federation, a designer of the Ostankino TV Tower, Chief Designer of the Moscow International Business Center "Moscow City" met with teaching staff, students and postgraduates of OSU Faculty of Architecture and Construction.
