Russians and Koreans: common values

In December, Orenburg State University hosted the second delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Russia.

Shortly after the visit of Kim Se Woong, Consul General, Wee Myung-Jae, Counsellor, Kim Soo In, Second Secretary and Kim Sunjae, Embassy Employee paid a visit to the university.

Wee Myung-Jae confirmed that the Republic of Korea was interested in establishing close ties not only with Moscow and St. Petersburg educational institutions but with other Russian universities as well. The parties discussed cooperation objectives between OSU and Korean universities: academic mobility, the participation of students in summer schools, the establishment of a Korean center at OSU, where the Korean language would be taught to Russians by its native speakers.

Then the embassy representatives met with OSU students, gave them a lecture and asked questions about the history of the relations between the two countries, Korean traditions and cuisine.
