The best projects on municipal innovation were prized at the forum “Orenburg region — the heart of Eurasia”

OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova took part in one of the key events of the International Forum “Orenburg region — the heart of Eurasia” — the final of the competition aimed at preparing management teams of municipal entities of the Orenburg region.

The competition was to develop the participants' project management competencies, as well as to improve teamwork skills. Five management teams presented to the government commission, headed by Yuri Berg, their investment projects for the territories development and attracting investments. The best project was the one from the town of Buzuluk.

A team of scientists from Orenburg State University, led by Professor Vladimir Kanyukov, Head of the OSU Department of Medical Biotechnology, was given a special attention at the forum. At the roundtable “Commercialization strategy for agricultural biotechnology” their project “New medical product development — regeneration eye drops (gel)” was recognized as one of the best and won the first prize. The scientific research results are of considerable scientific interest and practical value for the regional economy development.
