Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission paid a visit to OSU

On November 2, on the eve of the opening of the International Forum “Orenburg Region — the Heart of Eurasia”, a delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEС), headed by the Chairman of the Board of the EEC, Tigran Sargsyan, paid a visit to OSU. Pavel Samsonov, Vice-governor, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Orenburg region on social policy, accompanied guests.

The discussion started in the Rector's office. Zhanna Ermakova introduced the guest to the university, telling about its structure, size and peculiarities of conducting educational and scientific activities. Tigran Sargsyan, in his turn, announced his intention to cooperate with the university within the framework of the concept of the key centers of Eurasian integration implemented by the EEC. They have already established links with St. Petersburg State University, Higher School of Economics, etc. When meeting with students and teachers from the Orenburg region the chairman of the EEC Collegium presented information on the activities of the organization, as well as the main tasks of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), its tasks and ways to perform them.
