“Fifty is just the beginning”

On October 27, OSU Students' Cultural Center “Rossiya” celebrated its 50^th anniversary. More than 300 people took part in a new grandiose show.

The curtain opens and Tatyana Frolova, director of the Center, together with the teaching staff of all 25 groups and concert presenters, greets the audience with a song on the stage lit up with golden lights. The Cultural Center has not always been a Students' Center, it acquired its status in 1998. Most of the groups Tatiana Frolova “inherited” twenty years ago but some appeared thanks to her personal efforts. Orenburg State University teachers and administration, local and regional authorities, employees and veterans of the Industrial Group “Strela” came to congratulate “Rossiya” on the occasion.

During the performance, the audience got acquainted with the history of the Students' Cultural Center, which had been built for 2 years through the efforts of the Machine-Building Plant team. The guests honored the memory of those who had worked there.

Colorful performances, bright costumes and a new stage lighting design delighted the audience throughout the evening. The members of the Students' Cultural Center from Antre Circus, Zhemchuzhinka Pop Dance Group, Kristall Fashion Theater, Excurs Vocal Ensemble, Iniye Dance Theater, Concertino Vocal Ensemble, Le Soleil Song and Dance Theater, Academic Choir and Duimovochka Aesthetic Education Studio performed for the guests.
