OSU rector meets with professors from HTWK Leipzig

OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova met with the representatives of the University of Applied Sciences of Leipzig (HTWK Leipzig) (Germany).

Professors Klaus Hänßgen and Samira Travka paid a visit to Orenburg State University as part of the scholarship program of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The professors gave a series of lectures to OSU students. Klaus Hänßgen, who has been sharing his knowledge with students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology for many years, was conferred the title of OSU Honorary Professor for his special contribution to the educational process.

Samira Travka lectured at OSU for the first time. She gave lectures to the future constructors — OSU students of the the Faculty of Architecture and Construction.

OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova introduced the guests to the main facts about Orenburg State University and the opportunities it offers.

The main issue that was given the maximum attention to was the development of a joint educational program for undergraduates of applied computer science and mathematics to enable them to apply for “Two Diplomas” program funded under the Erasmus+ program. It will give the students a chance to undergo training at both their home university and a partner institution and to receive two degree certificates after passing the exams.
