Orenburg State University held a seminar for teachers involved in the German as a First Second Foreign Language Project, initiated by the Goethe-Institute.

869 Russian schools participate in the project, which has been implemented since last year. 6 gymnasiums, schools and lyceums supported the educational initiative in the Orenburg region "German as a First Second Foreign Language".

Two years ago, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation recommended studying a second foreign language.

Elena Nelzina, Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methodology from Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University, the Goethe-Institute teacher trainer and multiplier, who disseminates ideas, technologies and motivates teachers to participate in projects, conducted the seminar.

Elena Nelzina noted that the most important thing for a teacher is to demonstrate to the students that learning a foreign language at school is only the first step, and one should strive to improve a language proficiency throughout life.
