Central Asia Becomes Closer

On the 30^th of May cooperation agreement between OSU and Academy for State Government by the President of Kyrgyz Republic was signed.

Acting OSU Rector Svetlana Pankova met with Academy Rector Almaz Nasyrov. Regarding to cooperation with Kyrgyz Republic Svetlana Valentinovna mentioned OSU partner-university — Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin. She also emphasized that the major part of OSU students — Kyrgyz Republic citizens — are studying at OSU on the budgetary basis.

Academy Rector Almaz Nasyrov told about history of his educational institution.

Later Almaz Nasyrov met with Director of OSU Research Center for History and Ethnography of the Southern Urals Venaliy Amelin. Parties discussed cooperation’s directions including organization of the joint events.

Later in the day heads of OSU educational departments communicated with Rector of Academy for State Government by the President of Kyrgyz Republic. They expressed their interest in cooperation with the academy. In future universities plan to organize joint scientific conferences, conduct round-table discussions, public lectures in the format of videoconferences, implement double degree programs, prepare monographs and publish scientific magazines.

In the end of his visit Almaz Nasyrov gave a lecture “Modern trends of government and municipal employees’ training in Kyrgyz Republic” for lecturers and students of Management Institute, Faculty for Economics and Management and Faculty for Law.
