Development of regional program for medical and sanitary support of sportsmen with disabilities gets started under the guidance of Professor of Department for Biochemistry and Microbiology Svetlana Notova at OSU.

The project that was supported by Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation and Orenburg region Government is aimed at study of physiologic and social-psychological aspects of adaptation formation by influence of increased physical and psycho-emotional activity by sportsmen with disabilities (team of sledge hockey of Orenburg city).

Changes in sportsman’s metabolic processes by higher physical and psycho-emotional stress lead to increasing of needs in proteins, vitamins, macro- and microelements. It is necessary to determine the dose size for ration of trainees additionally taking into account evaluation of human personality: indicators of extraversion, introversion, anxiety, aggression, depressiveness, frustration, daily activity, life satisfaction and also underlying risk for psychosomatic and neurotic diseases. It is planned to study operating level of organism’s different systems and to estimate element status (a pattern of biochemical process in human organism) as an indicator for its adaptation level to varied environment.
