Six Medals at World Games “Masters” 2017

In the end of April Senior Lecturer of OSU Department for Physical Education Oleg Andronov represented the university on the World Games “Masters” in Auckland (New Zealand) and became a winner at several distances.

These games are conducted every 4 years, and they are an analogue of the Olympic Games. This year these games gathered above 30šthousand participants from 106 world countries at the age fromš25 to 100šyears. The competition program was presented by 28 sports that were held on 48šplatforms. 21šthousand medals were held during 10 days of consistent struggle.

Oleg Andronov took part in competitions on pool and open water (ocean) swimming. Results are six medals: gold medal on 200šmeter butterfly distance, silver medalš— on 400 and 800 meters with free style and 400šmeters with complex, the bronzeš— 100 meters butterfly and on the most difficult distanceš— 5škm in the ocean.
