Days of Aktobe Region in Orenburg

Akim of Aktobe region Berdybek Saparbaev and Governor of Orenburg region Yuriy Berg have met for the first time in Orenburg State University with students from Kazakhstan and Russia that are studying in Orenburg’s universities.

Yuriy Berg has mentioned the borderline between Russia and Kazakhstan as a border of friendship in his welcome speech. Akim Berdybek Saparbaev has emphasized that young people of Kazakhstan take part in culture and sport events that are annually held in Orenburg. All these things help to keep good fellowship that was introduced by ancestries.

During this meeting students have asked questions relating to education and further employment.

Later in the day the roundtable discussion “Economical and humanitarian cooperation between border regions of Russia and Kazakhstan” was conducted in Orenburg State University.

In the opening speech OSU Rector Zhanna Ermakova has informed the audience that the Kazakhs take the third place by population size in Orenburg region, and the region’s citizens are close to their culture, customs, and cuisine. Cooperation between countries is based on the rich historical experience of neighborhood, and it is implemented in all fields including education.

Rector of Aktobe Regional State University named after K. Zhubanov Baurzhan Erdembekov has noticed that they are striving for strengthening relations with Orenburg’s universities and, in the first place, with Orenburg State University. And, in his opinion, it is necessary to start cooperation with implementing education of double degree. Also Baurzhan Erdembekov has offered to consider the organizing possibility of border universities’ rector council for effective solution of education’s common tasks in two countries.
